2013 : An year of unlearning and learning fresh - how we moved beyond the 2 equally ineffective governance options for Delhi, how the faith & power of democracy was re-established in Delhi Legislative Assembly elections with the naïve inexperienced yet honest bunch emerging as the strongest contenders of our city

While on one hand we saw the protests by Aam aadmi for their rights, for unfulfilled demands, for giving the power in the hand of common man ; we also saw that women on the other hand had also decided that they will no longer remain quiet and fight for their rights. 

The bus- rape case, the journalist in Mumbai, females filmed in Delhi High Court restroom, harassment cases in Mumbai locals – all decided to go loud this time and fight for justice. Though this raises a question in our mind as the “reported incidences” increased drastically, I genuinely believe that we have moved atleast one step ahead where we now know more of what is actually happening and can then address these issues that have made us afraid of "men" in general

Moving into the next year, I wish all the girls & ladies out there to take good care of their safety before finalising new year bash plans
